Site Planning

A site plan needs to be developed and the maximum "build" limits of your Maryland lot should be determined. There are many considerations that must be streamlined to fit into the ever changing Maryland zoning ordinances, including Floor Area Ratio, building coverage, front, rear, and side yard setbacks, height restrictions, just to name a few. These zoning oridances and restrictions vary from site to site so a working knowledge of each County's building codes is a must. The real trick to site planning is satisfying the objective requirements of the County without compromising the aesthetic integrity and practical requirements from you.

NDI Homes of Maryland's Design and Sales Consultant will meet with you to review your "wish list," and discuss what you envision to be your dream home. We will then help decide the layout of the home on your Maryland property. Some factors to consider are proximity of neighboring homes, contour of the property, existing trees and vegetation, any privacy issues, and garage placement. We will discuss each one of these with your client and decide the ideal orientation of their home dependent on which aspects are most important to you.
